This disclosure applies to Hollywood’s Grow Guide (hollywoodgrowguide.com) (“we,” “us”). In short: we’re an ILGM affiliate. ILGM is where we recommend getting seeds, and we may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you.
The short version
Hollywood’s Grow Guide is reader-supported. When you click certain links on our site or in our emails and then make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra. Commissions help pay for the site, our grows and our testing.
Which links are affiliate links?
We participate in, or are applying to, affiliate programs run by companies that sell seeds, grow kits, grow equipment and related products. We’ll list the programs we’ve been approved for here and keep the list current.
Approved programs: ILGM (I Love Growing Marijuana). Our links to ILGM’s free Grow Bible offer and to ILGM seeds are affiliate links. The Grow Bible is ILGM’s guide, not ours, and ILGM doesn’t review or approve our content.
Links to merchants on our site usually look like hollywoodgrowguide.com/go/... and are marked “sponsored” for search engines, whether or not that particular link currently earns a commission. Pages that contain these links show a short disclosure near the top, and emails will show one before the first affiliate link. In videos, we say it out loud and on screen if we mention a product we earn from.
How we choose what to recommend
- We recommend products and companies based on our own experience, research and testing, not on commission rates.
- When we have personally used a product, we say so. When we haven’t, we say that too.
- A company paying us a commission does not buy a positive review, and companies don’t approve our content before it’s published.
- If we ever receive a free product, a sponsorship or any other payment, we disclose it clearly on that page or post.
Social media and YouTube
Our videos and social posts are educational and link only to our own website. We don’t link directly to seed banks from those platforms.
Prices and availability
Prices, promotions, product details and shipping policies are set by the merchant and can change at any time. Always check the merchant’s site before buying, and only buy where it’s legal for you.
Age and legality
Hollywood’s Grow Guide is for adults 21 and older. We only intend our content for places where home cultivation is legal. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
