Meet Hollywood

We teach you how to grow legal marijuana at home, where your state allows it. Hollywood’s Grow Guide is for adults 21+: step-by-step guides, honest about trade-offs, and grounded in real grows as we document them.

Who’s Hollywood?

Hollywood was my dad, and he was a cool dad. He was a Macon, Georgia guy his whole life, from Bloomfield. This site carries his name, and the drawing you see on every page (white polo, jeans, grow book in hand) is our way of keeping him with us.

Why this site exists

Hollywood was passionate about exploring medical marijuana. He believed people should be able to grow it at home wherever it’s legal, and this project honors that passion.

So that’s our mission: we teach you how to grow legal marijuana at home, where your state allows it. Check your state’s rules first (start with Grow Laws by State), then follow the guides one step at a time.

We share information about growing. We don’t make medical claims, and nothing here is medical or legal advice.

What we believe

• Legal first. We only write for places where home cultivation is legal, and we point you to your state’s official source. We’re not lawyers, and nothing here is legal advice.
• Show, don’t tell. Our recommendations will come from documented grows with our own photos, measurements and mistakes. When we haven’t personally tested something, we say so.
• Honest money. Some links on the site are affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what we recommend. → Affiliate Disclosure
• Original work. Everything we publish is written for Hollywood’s Grow Guide. We don’t republish other companies’ guides.
